Mental Health Social Workers

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSWs) combine clinical therapy with a deep understanding of social, environmental, and family factors that impact wellbeing.

They are registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and provide therapy as well as advocacy, systems navigation, and support coordination.

Common areas social workers support:

  • Trauma recovery and complex PTSD

  • Family and relationship stress

  • Domestic and family violence recovery

  • Workplace injury or rehabilitation

  • Adjustment to chronic illness or disability

When to see a social worker:

If your challenges are connected to your environment, relationships, or life transitions, a Mental Health Social Worker provides practical, compassionate, and strengths-based care.
